Me and the kids have become seed scavengers. It not only entertains them but it sets me up for next year in the garden. I either collect them from my house, beach or anyone I visit (I’m not fussy!) I’ve no idea how much money I’ve saved so far, but it’s definitely worth the effort for the entertainment alone.
So far we’ve collected nasturtiums, dill, fennel, tomatos, courgettes, cucumbers, sorrel, rocket, mizuna, lemon balm, chives, chard, pansies, violas, sweet peas, sunflowers, to name but a few. There’s still time to get more so I’m keeping my eyes peeled for more free flowers and food for next summer.
